What is good about having a pet?

What a silly question. I’d challenge the reverse and ask what isn’t good about having a pet… aside from the associated cleanup tied to being a pet parent?!

You get what you put into a relationship, even with your pets. If you idolize them, odds are they will idolize you too, in their own way- yes, even cats!

As someone who was a fur mama of 6 for 8 years of my life: the reward of love outweighs all of the negatives of owning a pet, including the devastating loss that is inevitable. When you read this, snuggle your fur babies: hold them a little closer, nuzzle them a little longer- those are the moments you can’t replace that warm your heart in a way that only animals can.
