The Breakdown- p1

The demise of our relationship perhaps was the beginning; however, we managed to push through to a marriage, two kids, and 7 years later….

He had always been the stable one. The reasonable and calming force between us two. That’s why when he started losing his cool semi- regularly and in big fashions, I suspected something was wrong. I am a worse case scenario planner so I assumed maybe he was cheating- why else would he be acting so differently? Until the mail started coming, I never would’ve realized. One day a letter with red lettering came in the mail, so I opened it. It was an overdue bill with threats of being sent to collections. I then received a call at work from his student loan company saying he was overdue payments and then a few days before we closed on our house, a letter threatening foreclosure as the mortgage was 3 months overdue. Even after selling our house, for over one year, additional financial infidelity happened time after time again, despite various promises it would stop. The majority of the money from the sale of our house and hopes of dreams coming true, gone forever.
