Have you ever thought really hard about who invented language? I wonder about not only who invented it, but how did all of these words get assigned to everything out there and how the heck did “the word” (lol) spread to make communication possible across the world? Mind blowing.

Even crazier is there’s not only 1 language in the world, but apparently 7100 according to Google. Now how the hell is that a thing? When I think about my presence on the planet today, I just can’t wrap my head around how it’s all possible.

Why is a grapefruit called a grapefruit? Why is a zebra called a zebra? I mean it’s really wild when you think about it all. Who came up with the colors of the rainbow and the different utensil names? It’s so weird to think about!

Now I’m thinking about how my pets communicate and what their “language” is potentially translating to in English. It cracks me up to pretend I know anything but I swear sometimes I speak cat.

Do other people think about this or am I the only weird one totally fascinated about how bizarre life is?
