The Shoes

I was always hopping online to look things up- decorations, flowers, cakes…Pinterest all day, every day. One day in late September, I happened to check out shoes and found a great option. I’m not much shorter than my husband- maybe an inch or two maximum, so tall heels were not an option. I hate the way it looks when a woman towers over her man in pictures, especially if it isn’t necessary, so with that being said, I was shooting for a very small heel at the most.

Of course almost every pair of shoes I liked were 3 or 4 inches tall if they were heeled or were too plain and simple if they were flat. I was losing hope when I happened to find a Mischa Barton shoe with a short, chunky heel that was open-toe with a bedazzled strap. They were perfect! I immediately texted my mom pictures and a link and we both loved them. She liked them so much she ordered a pair for me and a pair for her in a different color. One decision made and pretty quickly at that! This was the smoothest part of our entire planning process- as sad as that is.

PS- For the record, I wore those shoes all night long on the night of my wedding and they destroyed my feet. They had open wounds from blisters throughout my entire honeymoon and remain scarred to this day. #Beauty.Is.Pain!
